Art & SolPrivate tattoo studio · Kankakee, IL · Crown Point, IN

Two private studios. One crew that thinks they can art. Black and grey realism, loud color, horror, fine line and flash, from artists who each run their own books. You pick the artist. You book the artist.

The crew

Every artist here keeps their own books and their own style, so start with the work you'd actually wear. Their words, not ours.

How you get on the books

  1. Find your artist

Six artists, six different hands. Dig through the work and pick the one whose style you'd actually wear.

  2. Send them the idea

Through that artist's own form or DMs: the idea, where it goes, rough size, color or black and grey, a few reference pics.

  3. Lock it in

Once your artist takes the project, a deposit holds your date. Deposits are non-refundable, and each artist sets their own reschedule rules.

  4. Show up with ID

18 and over, valid government photo ID, every appointment, both studios. No ID, no tattoo.

Questions

Can I just walk in?

On Wednesdays at the Kankakee studio, yes: 11 AM to 7 PM, first come, first served, $100 minimum. Everything else, and everything in Crown Point, is booked ahead.

What's it cost?

Every artist sets their own rate. Tommy is $250 an hour for most pieces, Joey lists $2,000 to $2,200 a session, everyone else quotes per piece. The prices page has the rest.

How old do I have to be?

18. Valid government photo ID, both studios, no exceptions.

Which studio do I book?

Book the artist, not the building. Tommy and Joey work both. Sarah Jane, Karo, Brittany and Gabi are in Kankakee.
